Sustainability
An overview of steps taken to be a more Earth conscious business
Sustainable Photography Practice
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our photography and production work. As an independent limited company, we focus on practical, responsible decisions that shape how we shoot, travel and deliver projects.
Photography production involves travel, energy use and material consumption. We take active steps to minimise our footprint and support more sustainable photography practices across the projects we undertake.
Travel & Low-Impact Production
Travel is one of the most significant sources of emissions in commercial photography.
We operate a 100% electric vehicle for professional travel.
We cycle where possible to collect equipment and attend meetings.
Shoots are planned carefully to reduce unnecessary journeys.
Freelance assistants are encouraged to use public transport, cycling or car-sharing where practical.
We aim to make travel decisions that support low-impact production wherever possible.
Studio & Renewable Energy
Our studio operates from a home base supplied by renewable electricity.
Energy-efficient LED lighting is prioritised.
Equipment and lighting are switched off when not in use.
Energy consumption is kept under regular review.
These choices support a more environmentally responsible studio practice.
Digital Workflow & File Delivery
Our workflow is fully digital.
Call sheets, production documents and shot lists are shared electronically.
Files are delivered digitally wherever possible.
Paper use is kept to a minimum.
Data is archived responsibly and redundant files are removed to reduce unnecessary storage demand.
This approach reduces material use while maintaining efficient production standards.
Equipment & Responsible Production Choices
We aim to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce unnecessary consumption.
Equipment is maintained and repaired wherever possible.
Refurbished or second-hand options are considered when appropriate.
Printed materials on set are kept to a minimum.
Reusable containers are encouraged during productions.
Where possible, hired or reusable props and materials are prioritised.
These decisions support a more sustainable photography workflow.
Waste & Resource Management
Responsible waste management forms part of our studio practice.
Waste is sorted for recycling.
Organic waste is composted where possible.
Single-use materials are avoided wherever practical.
Working with Clients & Collaborators
We are happy to collaborate with clients, agencies and production partners who prioritise responsible and low-impact working practices. Where appropriate, we can support sustainable production planning at the briefing stage.
Ongoing Commitment
We review our environmental practices annually and continue to look for practical ways to reduce emissions and resource use across our work.
As Directors, we retain responsibility for implementing and monitoring this commitment.
We are happy to collaborate with clients and production partners who prioritise responsible and low-impact working practices.
