Minnie’s Legacy

Whilst staying in Hong Kong I had a surreal and strangely nostalgic experience of visiting Disneyland.

I’d not visited the Hong Kong park before but some of my earliest memories are of the Californian Disneyland - there were a lot of similarities - as you’d expect with the Disney characters and brand though some distinct differences too.

There seemed a strong dedication to Minnie Mouse in particlar - the theme park is awash with people wearing Minnie’s ears and iconic red polka-dot bow.

I set about photographing the 95 year’s old American cartoon character’s legacy.
